FATOS LUBONJA THE SEEMO'S 2004 AWARD LAUREATE

The Vienna-based South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), a network of editors, media executives and journalists in South East Europe (SEE), and an affiliate of the International Press Institute (IPI), has decided to award Fatos Lubonja, one of the leading Albanian writers and human rights activists, with the 2004 SEEMO Award for Mutual Cooperation in South Eastern Europe, which is dedicated to the UN Human Rights Day - 10 December.
The first SEEMO's laureate was Christine von Kohl (2002), editor-in-chief of the Balkan SEE Dialog magazine, followed by Nebojsa Popov (2003), founder and editor of the Belgrade-based monthly Republika.
The 2004 Award ceremony will be held in Tirana, and the award presenter will be Remzi Lani, director of the Albanian Media Institute and SEEMO Board Member.
